The built environment is a slow process. Despite what you see on HGTV, design, build, the selections and installations - it all takes time. So you gotta celebrate the little wins along the way. Here is a bathroom remodel I'm working on. The concept was derived from an image I saw while perusing a recently acquired design book. The client isn't afraid of color. (We've been systematically attacking the home room by room with color being a dominant feature in each space.) For the upstairs bathroom a fresh clean look is complimented with earthy and craft items. A basic cabinet/sink combo is elevated by using a curvy vintage mirror and a free standing shelving unit for storing bathroom necessities . A variety of textures, finishes, pops of color and scale of product give the space visual layers. Refine your bathroom space by implementing nontraditional pieces such as an unexpected shelving unit, side table, or area rug. Even in the smallest of bathrooms will benefit from these little additions. What do you think?
